Marilyn May (nee Wilson), 88, of Yuba City, CA, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2024, in Marysville, CA. Marilyn was born in Alameda, CA, on March 27, 1936.

A lifelong California resident, Marilyn and her family moved to Woodleaf, CA, and she attended Oroville High school. While living in Woodleaf, she met Benny May, also an Oroville High School student. The two married in 1954, and moved to the Yuba-sutter area where the couple welcomed three children: Michael in 1955, Joanna in 1958, and Karen in 1960.

Marilyn was a real estate broker for many years in Yuba-sutter area. She was an avid horsewoman and encouraged a love of horses in her children, grandchild­ren, and great-grandchild­ren. She also loved dogs. You could always find a few snuggled up to her while she watched cooking shows and classic movies or waiting patiently for her to drop a treat for them while in the kitchen.

Marilyn also loved to bake, especially during the holidays. Christmas was her favorite and she was always whipping up some chocolatey delight to share. She enjoyed a garden in full bloom, spending time with her family, and attending Hope Point Nazarene church in Yuba City.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her mother, Marion Sharpe; and her sister, Carol Dresser.

She is survived by her husband, Benny May; son Michael May of Marysville, CA; daughter, Joanna Riley (Tim) of Lincoln. CA; and daughter, Karen May of Yuba City, CA; eight grandchild­ren: Sarah Burton (Ron) of Yuba City, CA, Jennifer Nuckolls (Dean) of Frankston, TX, Rachel Ekberg (Adam) of Loma Rica, CA, Stacia Cova (Casey) of Wheatland, CA, Jacob Rydman (Sara) of Auburn, CA, Samantha May of Yuba City, CA, Brett Riley of Lincoln, CA, and Brooks Riley of Lincoln, CA; and 12 great-grandchild­ren.

Services will be held at 2:30PM, Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Hope Point Nazarene Church in Yuba City.

Christophe­r John Collins, 45, passed away with his family by his side on March 18, 2024.

A lifelong resident of of the Yuba - Sutter area. He was a 1997 graduate of Live Oak High School and former member of the Live Oak Lions Club.

Chris loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, of 20 years Cathy; his son, Chase; father, Joseph; mother, Anita; step-mother, Susan; siblings, Dustin, Robert, Cindy and Teresa.

He is also survived by his loving uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Chris was a strong and caring man who was always protective of everyone he cared about.

He will be forever remembered and missed by all who loved and knew him.
