A Privilege and an Honor
It’s been a fun ride, but it’s time for me to move on
WELL, FOLKS, this is my 46th and final issue of MaximumPC. My time as deputy editor has come to an end. One of our publishing house’s latest acquisitions, Tom’s Hardware, has sounded the call for a new associate editor, requesting I take up that mantle for a new project it’s developing. Unfortunately, that means I have to say goodbye to a team, a magazine, and a community that I absolutely love.
I owe a lot to this little ol’ magazine of ours. It’s taught me so, so much over the years. From honing my writing style to pushing me to the absolute edge of my limits, both technologically and creatively, It’s been an absolute honor to have been a part of MaximumPC’s journey over the last three years, and one I won’t forget.
Working here has introduced me to some exceptionally talented people. From my remarkably supportive and knowledgeable editor, Alan, to our diligent, hard-working, eclectic art editor, Fraser, to the literary subeditor genius that is Katharine, perpetually working hard to ensure my words make sense, and, of course, all the countless freelancers, staffers, and writers who pour their heart and soul into making this magazine what it is. They are all phenomenal, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without their help and support.
Most importantly, I want to thank you. Thank you for subscribing, for buying
MaximumPC— it means a lot that you have faith in us to produce the content we do, even with my occasional blasphemous hiccup, and it’s a credit to MaximumPC that you’re so passionate about this mag. Thank you, everyone. I’ll miss this place.
