Noel Community Dinner

There will be a free community dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Noel United Methodist Church. The menu will be meatloaf, potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, rolls, dessert and coffee/tea.

Revival At Banner Church

Banner Church of the Nazarene will hold revival services with Evangelist Jeremiah Bolich Sept. 18-21. Service times are 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The church is located at 597 Northfork Road, Anderson. Call 417-364-7461.

Senior Center Offers Flu And Pneumonia Shots

SWC The Southwest City Senior Center invites everyone, no matter their age, to come and see what the center has to offer.

“It’s more than just coming and having lunch,” said Director Melissa Lance. “Every month we have different activities going on, so stop in and check it out.”

Representatives from the McDonald County Health Department will be visiting the senior center at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, to offer flu and pneumonia shots to those interested in receiving the vaccinations.

Please remember to come prepared with your insurance card.

“After you receive your shot, stick around and join us for lunch,” Lance said.

A BBQ riblet on a bun, creamy coleslaw, three-bean salad, mixed fruit, and juice is on the menu.

Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. The cost for those over 60 is $3.50 and $7 for those under 60.
