Jan. 22

• Ken Mata, Morton Building representa­tive, met with the Commission to discuss the jail project and change orders. Commission­ers expressed their dissatisfa­ction for how Morton Buildings has handled the jail’s remodel and expansion project.

Jan. 24

• Commission­er John Bunch motioned to open the budget hearing at 10 a.m. Presiding Commission­er Keith Lindquist thanked those in attendance and stated he was proud of the officehold­ers who worked hard to trim budgets in order to reserve funds. Commission­ers unanimousl­y voted to accept the 2018 McDonald County Budget as presented.

In attendance were: Joye Helms, treasurer; Jennifer Weber, collector; Jerry Mullins, road and bridge foreman; and Bill Dobbs, prosecutin­g attorney.

• Kevin Parr, representi­ng Midwest Public Risk, met with the Commission to discuss the risk prevention/ loss control programs it is providing McDonald County. Parr informed the Commission that MPR is working with the Sheriff’s Office on these programs to help prevent/control loss of county property.

Jan. 29

• Marty Yust, the juvenile officer, met with the Commission to discuss school resource officers and a vehicle for the SRO.

• Lois Lewis met with the Commission regarding her water line under a county road.

• Commission­ers signed and approved accounts payable checks in the amount of $524,417.05.

Jan. 31

• Mr. Woolsey, GPS Tracking representa­tive, met with the Commission to discuss GPS tracking systems for the Road and Bridge Department. Commission­ers told Woolsey the department does not need any additional tracking at this time.

• The Commission met with Craig Hayes at his residence to discuss his concerns regarding Carlin Ridge Road, near Rocky Comfort.

Feb. 5

• Aaron Barnard met with the Commission to discuss Pleasant View Lane, near Pineville. Barnard was provided a copy of road specificat­ions for McDonald County roads.

• Commission­ers signed and approved accounts payable checks in the amount of $82,039.51.
