Patricia Gale Oxford

Dec. 19, 1946 Oct. 8, 2018 Patricia Gale “Pat” Oxford, 71, of Anderson, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson after months of declining health.

She was born Dec. 19, 1946, in Eugene, Ore., to Donald and Mamie (Johnson) Barnes. She was raised in Pineville, Mo., and was a 1965 graduate of Pineville High School. On Feb. 18, 1966, she married Charles W. “Buck” Oxford. She was a legal secretary for the Paul Law Firm for 40 years, retiring in 2018. She enjoyed sewing, reading and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 49 years, Buck Oxford, on May 29, 2015.

Survivors include two children, Tony Oxford, Lisa Hodson and husband Lee, all of Anderson; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Steven Barnes of Bentonville, Ark., and Craig Bittle of Canton, Ill.

Memorial services were held Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating.

Memorials are being directed to a memorial scholarship account and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
