Commission Minutes
Aug. 20
- The Commission signed and approved accounts payable in the amount of $97.85.
Aug. 22
- The Commission accepted bids for NRCS streambank stabilization projects. Bids were made by Southwest Asphalt Materials, Granger Dirtworks and Vaughn Dirtworks. Commissioners agreed to table the decision until a later date.
Aug. 27
- David Taylor, MoDOT engineer met with commissioners. Taylor introduced himself as the new area engineer for Barton, Jasper, Newton and McDonald counties. The Commission asked Taylor about a possible crosswalk from the McDonald County High School to the high school’s soccer fields. Taylor stated he would check into a crosswalk.
- The Commission discussed the bids received for the upcoming streambank stabilization projects. Commissioners unanimously voted to accept the bid from Vaughn Dirtworks at a cost of $495,880.
- Commissioners voted to issue a court order to treasurer Joye Helm, to pay S. Anglin & Associates, #12, LLC $3,754.36 from the Overplus Tax Sale Certificate #586.
- The Commission signed and approved accounts payable in the amount of $336,779.04.
Aug. 29
- Nate Zoschke, of McBride, Lock and Associates, initiated a phone conference with commissioners to go over the recent audit. The county will receive the completed audit report within the next couple of weeks.
Sept. 10
- The Commission signed and approved accounts payable in the amount of $99,680.97.
Sept. 12
- The Commission held interviews with potential health insurance brokers; Connell Insurance, Inc., Ollis/Akers/ Arney, and Employee Benefits Design. Commissioners will hold an additional interview with Beimdiek Insurance Angency, Inc. on Monday, Sept. 24.
Sept. 19
- The Commission signed and approved accounts payable in the amount of $81,998.25.
