Velma ‘Bibs’ Lowry

Velma “Bibs” Lowry, age 88, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, passed away Sunday , September 20, 2020, after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Connie Truss of Texas; her husband, C.A. Lowry; her son, John Lowry; and one grandson, Nathaniel Valenzuela.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Stewart and her husband Bobby and Jo White all of Wheaton, Missouri; a daughter- in- law, Mary Lowry of Exeter, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Fred Lowry and his wife Reta of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Jason Newman, Izaak Davis, Austin Williams, Alex, Ana and Sean Lowry; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bibs was born in Allamoore, Texas, on November 6, 1931, and spent her life as a homemaker and a McDonald County School Employee. She was a vivacious, intelligent and spirited lady her entire life.
Per her request, no funeral services are being planned. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
