CAN A LITTLE PILL GET YOU MARATHON READY?

For those in the throes of marathon training, or anyone who’s achy after a workout, you may find an antidote in green-tea extract. Brazilian scientists gave a group of men a 500mg capsule between back-to-back days of exercise, then did blood work, which revealed lower markers for muscle damage and oxidative stress and improved neuromuscu­lar activity when compared to the placebo group, probably because of green tea’s antioxidan­t and anti-inflammato­ry properties.
