Brazil­ian sci­en­tists gave a group of men a 500mg cap­sule be­tween back-to-back days of ex­er­cise, then did blood work, which re­vealed lower mark­ers for mus­cle dam­age and ox­ida­tive stress and im­proved neu­ro­mus­cu­lar ac­tiv­ity when com­pared to the placebo group, prob­a­bly be­cause of green tea’s an­tiox­i­dant and anti-in­flam­ma­tory prop­er­ties.
