Advice for the Ages

AVOID THE SHORTCUTS
A lot of working out today is, “Let’s make it an easy fix.” Do this, and do that, and you’ve got 60-second abs. I’m learning year after year and finding what suits me best for my lifestyle. It’s been a long process. I think I’ve found a comfortable balance, because we all like to have pizza and not be a complete gym psycho. I stay fit enough to feel comfortable taking my shirt off at the beach, because someone’s going to take a photo, and then it won’t be, “Hey look, fat Superman!” It’ll just be, “Hey, look, Henry Cavill at the beach.”
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

Today I just want to dig a very deep hole and jump into it.” Then sometimes your energy is really high and you think, “I’m going to hurt myself today. Let’s see if I still bleed!”
