JEF HALL FINALIST

Jef (with one f) Hall is a high-spirited father of a spritely 9-year-old daughter. He is a man of many talents—his most notable being an esteemed performer, living out his destiny. Coming from a showbiz family, he continues the tradition. Hall is a self-proclaimed theater geek who has a solid gig as an A-list act traveling the Renaissance festival circuit as one of the Tortuga Twins. He’s been living the gypsy lifestyle for 30 years and wouldn’t change a thing. “Getting a chance to make people laugh is the coolest feeling in the world. It’s very therapeutic for me,” he said. They say laughter is the best medicine, and it certainly seems to be working for this young-at-heart optimist. “Even though I’m 55 and have the mentality of an 18-yearold, I have the knees of a 90-year-old.” Once Hall had his daughter at age 46, he said, “I made it my job to be in the best shape of my life. I am in much better shape than when I was 30. And when I hit 60, I intend to be in better shape than I am now. I just want to be around for her.”

Speaking of his daughter, “The coolest thing is the first couple of times she called me dad. I also love getting to see things through her eyes for the first time,” he said.

When not on stage, making people smile, working out, dadding, or lovingly annoying his family with sarcasm, Hall is a cosplayer and entrepreneur who runs a holiday lighting business in St. Pete, FL.
