8 PM * Mickey’s 90th Spectacular Who’s the leader of the club that’s made for you and me? Generations of Walt Disney fans know the answer, and how to spell it. Now, Disney’s sparing no expense to celebrate the 90th birthday of the company’s first animated superstar: Mickey Mouse, who made his big-screen debut in the 1928 short “Steamboat Willie.” Among the celebrities joining this lavish two-hour special are Kristen Bell, Josh Groban, Meghan Trainor, Kelsea Ballerini, Sofia Carson and two original Mouseketeers, Sharon Baird and Bobby Burgess.
8 PM ( HALL) MOVIE Road to Christmas TV producer Maggie Baker (Jessy Schram, “Nashville”) reluctantly takes on what she expects to be a volatile assignment as she starts planning a special Christmas episode of “Julia Wise Lifestyle” with the show’s former producer: Danny Wise (Chad Michael Murray, “One Tree Hill”), who also happens to be the son of the star (Teryl Rothery). The two start to clash almost immediately, as Danny — at his mother’s behest — pushes back against Maggie’s plans to do the show live, in this new yuletide offering.
8 PM ( LIFE) MOVIE Psycho Prom Queen After a fellow teacher dies in a suspected suicide, Julie Taylor is hired to finish out the school year teaching a senior math class. The job offers a welcome new beginning to Julie and her teenage daughter Maya, but Julie can’t help but worry when Maya quickly becomes friends with Amy Turner, the resident mean girl of the school. Amy is a master manipulator, plus she seems freakishly obsessed with becoming prom queen.
8 PM ( STRZ) Outlander Adapted from “Drums of Autumn,” the fourth novel in Diana Gabaldon’s time-traveling romantic fantasy, Season 4 finds 20th-century doctor Claire Fraser (Catriona Balfe) and her 18th-century husband, Jamie (Sam Heughan), in Fraser’s Ridge, N.C., shortly before America’s war for independence will erupt. As they try to navigate this politically volatile time, the 20th-century relationship between their daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton), and charming historian Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin) is heating up.
