‘The Mandalorian’ brings ‘Star Wars’ world to Disney+

DON’T MISS: “The Mandalorian” – This week brings the highly anticipated debut of Disney’s new streaming service. In addition to a vast library of films and TV series, it’s serving up plenty of original fare. Among the shiniest new offerings is this live-action drama series that takes place in the “Star Wars” universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. (Somewhere between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens”). It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter (Pedro Pascal) in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic. The cast also includes Gina Carano, Carl Weathers Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. (Tuesday, Disney+).

SUNDAY: The compelling new crime drama series “Dublin Murders” is based on the acclaimed novels
“In the Woods” and “The Likeness” by Tana French. In the opener, detectives Rob Reilly (Killian Scott) and Cassie Maddox (Sarah Greene) are on the case after a young girl is found murdered in a remote wooded area. (8 p.m., Starz).
MONDAY: The Knockout Rounds on “The Voice” have ended (Bye, Taylor). And now the real fun begins as the Top 20 contestants take the stage for the Live Playoffs round. (8 p.m., NBC).
TUESDAY: Here’s a confusing title for a show: “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.” Tapping into the popular franchise, it’s a song-filled meta saga that follows a group of students at the real-life East High as the prepare for the school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical.” (Disney+).
TUESDAY: Turkey meatballs, anyone?
That’s the Thanksgiving-themed challenge awaiting the young competitors as another season of “Chopped Junior” gets underway. (8 p.m., Food Network).
WEDNESDAY: Carrie Underwood is our host for the 53rd annual CMA Awards. The trophy fest will feature performances from Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Dolly Parton and others. Morris leads the pack with six nominations. (8 p.m., ABC).
WEDNESDAY: “The Preppy Murder: Death in Central Park” is a fivepart documentary series that delves into one of the most infamous crimes in recent American history. It revisits the 1986 killing of Jennifer Levin at the hands of Robert Chambers, her prep school friend. (9 p.m., AMC and Sundance TV).
THURSDAY: On “Grey’s Anatomy,” Meredith may finally be out of the slammer, but she’s not out of the woods. Now she goes in front of the medical board and must reckon with her past in some challenging ways. (8 p.m., ABC).
FRIDAY: Kat Dennings (“2 Broke Girls”) makes for an appealing lead in “Dollface.” It’s a new comedy series about a young woman who, after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend, struggles to rekindle the female relationships she had essentially abandoned for the dude. (Hulu).
FRIDAY: The end is here for “The Man in the High Castle.” As the alternate history sciencefiction series drops its fourth and final season, the Third Reich is determined to invade and dominate all realities. Someone stop them, please. (Amazon).
SATURDAY: Former One Direction band member Harry Styles is this week’s host of “Saturday Night Live.” And he’ll be pulling double duty, also serving as musical guest and probably performing his latest single, “Lights Up.” (11:30 p.m., NBC).
