TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

-

1 PM & PGA Tour Golf

Finalround action in the 2020 Players Championship tees off today at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., where the field’s leaders hope the Stadium Course’s infamous “Island Hole” at No. 17 doesn’t lay waste to their chances. Rory McIlroy managed to avoid any meltdowns at the close of last year’s tournament on his way to a thrilling one-stroke victory over Jim Furyk.

3:30 PM (NBCSN) IndyCar Rac

ing Spring continues to make its presence felt with the resumption of warm-weather sports, one of which gets going today on Florida’s Gulf Coast with IndyCar’s season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Eventual series champ Josef Newgarden took the checkered flag a year ago on the 1.8-mile, 14-turn street course, riding a smart pit strategy to a commanding early lead to come in ahead of Scott Dixon and Will Power.

7 PM & The Wall

Host Chris Hardwick returns for Season 3 of this feel-good game show, this time with a new twist that makes it possible for players to win even more money. It’s called the Superdrop, with all seven balls raining down in a waterfall drop that takes the total potential prize each night to $13 million. Sound too good to be true? Well, yeah, because with this possibility of greater reward comes increased risk — including the possibility that a player could lose everything.

8 PM G Batwoman

While Jacob (Dougray Scott) goes searching for his wayward daughter, Cartwright (guest star John Emmet Tracy) shares a deeply twisted story with Kate (Ruby Rose) that reveals more about Alice’s (Rachel Skarsten) dark past in the new episode “Off With Her Head.” Elsewhere, Mary and Luke (Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson) follow a lead on the killer of Beth Kane.

8 PM (LIFE) MOVIE Into the Arms of Danger

Upset by a confrontational phone conversation with her mother, 17-year-old Jenny is in a distracted frame of mind when she gets behind the wheel of her car, leading to an accident on a remote and desolate stretch of road. She’s relieved when a pair of EMTs promptly respond to her distress call, but once they put her in their ambulance and lock the vehicle’s door, she soon realizes they are not who they pretend to be.
