8 PM ( A&E) Biography: Dolly This new two-hour special offers an affectionate portrait of Dolly Parton, one of country music’s most beloved singers and songwriters, by nature a very private woman, although her songs often include lyrics that reveal a great deal. In addition to exclusive interviews with Parton herself, the film also includes commentary from many of her musicians, co-writers and producers. The documentary also explores why Parton, despite her down-home persona, is widely regarded by industry professionals as one of the most important songwriters of modern times.

Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton and Kristina Wagner also star.
