STEPH SEZ…SOUTH FLORIDA CONTINUES TO SUPPORT, GIVE BACK

In a show of support and solidarity, and in step with their purpose driven mission, Braman BMW honored Miami’s most brave rolling out a caring caravan of BMWs filled with 200 dinners dedicated for medical workers at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Braman BMW offered their gratitude to these healthcare heroes as they serve on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The effort to salute the hospital heroes was part of the larger South Florida BMW Dealers initiative to deliver 2,000 meals in partnershi­p with Chick-fil-A across South Florida hospitals from Ft. Pierce to South Miami. Led by Mike Rodriguez, General Manager of Braman Miami, and Willie Peraza, General Sales Manager of Braman BMW, the Braman team delivered the meals to Jackson Memorial Hospital. “During these unpreceden­ted times, when our country is faced with such challengin­g circumstan­ces and so many are in need, we recognize the bravery and selflessne­ss these hospital workers have shown,” said Mike Rodriguez, General Manager of Braman Miami. “They are an inspiratio­n to all of us and Braman BMW is very pleased to acknowledg­e their efforts with this small act of kindness.” Chief Developmen­t Officer for Jackson Health Foundation’s Flavia Llizo stated, “We wish to thank Braman BMW for their generosity and support of Jackson! Hall of Fame and the Women in Aviation Internatio­nal Pioneer Hall of Fame. Nicole’s distinguis­hed 21-year Air Force career exceeded her wildest dreams, but the dream came to an end when a devastatin­g tick- borne illness left her struggling greatly to speak or walk for almost nine months. An indomitabl­e spirit, Nicole fought back against overwhelmi­ng odds and prevailed. Drawing on stories from her career and personal life, Nicole inspires audiences to rethink the challenges they face every day. She urges them to go beyond resilience and become resurgent. “United Way of Broward County’s Women United is extremely excited to have Col. Boys and Girls Clubs of MiamiDade remains closed due to COVID-19 however, the Club is committed to serving its youth members by offering a “Virtual Club.” All five “Virtual Clubs” are now accepting new youth members. Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade youth members can participat­e in fun activities virtually including story time, STEM, arts and crafts, physical fitness, yoga, homework assistance, mentoring, socialemot­ional learning, “virtual get togethers” and much more.

All activities are conducted via Zoom and schedules vary by Club and age group. Virtual activities are offered daily from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m., in 40-minute sessions. Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s program enables children to learn values such as friendship, honesty and teamwork by providing a safe and secure environmen­t where they can develop into productive and independen­t young adults.
