9 PM ( STRZ) MOVIE The Pickup Game Inspired by Neil Strauss’s bestselling book “The Game,” this 2019 documentary from filmmakers Matthew and Barnaby O’Connor takes a sometimes chilling look at a burgeoning billion-dollar industry wherein selfstyled “seduction coaches” travel the world, charging exorbitant fees to teach male clients skills that they claim guarantee sexual success with women. It’s a
world with a glossy, flashy exterior that conceals a dark underbelly of sexual assault, pyramid-scheme marketing and secret collusion.
