8 PM ( FREE) Love in the Time of Corona This two-night, four-part limited series event, which concludes on Sunday, follows a diverse assortment of characters as they cope with the extraordinary demands of the coronavirus pandemic. In the premiere, “The Course of Love,” married couple James and Sade (real-life spouses Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson) adjust to 24/7 life together in quarantine. Elsewhere, headstrong wife Nanda (L. Scott Caldwell) must make do with a virtual 50th wedding anniversary celebration when her husband’s rehab facility goes into lockdown. Another new episode follows.

8 PM ( HBO) MOVIE Queen & Slim Jodie Turner-Smith (“Jett”) and Daniel Kaluuya (“Get Out”) earned warm reviews in the title roles of this characterdriven combination of romance, road trip and crime drama from Melina Matsoukas (in her feature directing debut), with a screenplay from Lena Waithe (“The Chi”). The film opens with Queen, a criminal lawyer, on her first, awkward Tinder date with Slim in a diner. Later, as he’s driving her home, a routine traffic stop that starts out harmlessly goes badly wrong, forcing the pair to flee. Bokeem Woodbine and Chloe Sevigny co-star.

8 PM ( BBCA) Earthflight A new episode of this dazzling documentary series gives a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of “South America,” as scarlet macaws survey the heart of the Amazon, condors soar to dizzying heights along the Andes Mountains, and hummingbirds and vultures alike bear witness to the grandeur of this continent. Visual highlights include Machu Picchu, the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Santiago, and the enigmatic Nazca Lines in the Peruvian desert. David Tennant narrates.

9 PM ( SHO) MOVIE Run This Town Ben Platt (“The Politician”) stars in director and screenwriter Ricky Tollman’s 2019 drama, which charts the chaotic final year in the tenure of Toronto mayor Rob Ford (an unrecognizable Damian Lewis, “Homeland”). Platt plays Bram Shriver, an aspiring investigative journalist who is bored out of his mind as the story opens, cranking out mindless “listicles” at his job when he stumbles upon a potentially explosive political story. Mena Massoud, Nina Dobrev, Scott Speedman, Gil Bellows and Jennifer Ehle also star.

9 PM ( OWN) Family or Fiancé A young couple is utterly convinced they’ve found their true soulmate in each other, but they also know they need to bury some past issues before they’re ready to start looking to the future together in the new episode “Brittney and Patrick: My Best Friends Bougie Wedding.” For her part, Brittney remains haunted by memories of an ex-boyfriend, while Patrick really needs to reconcile with his loved ones who feel abandoned by this new life of his. 10 PM ( TRAV) Hotel Paranormal A romantic getaway that’s a popular destination for lovers, illicit and otherwise, turns into the backdrop for a night of abject terror in the new episode “Confined Spirits.” In other segments, a security guard is frightened when he is unexpectedly accosted by a presence in a haunted bathroom at a posh California hotel, and shadowy apparitions strike horror into the heart of a front-desk clerk on the night shift. Dan Aykroyd is the narrator.
