8 PM _ The Masked Dancer Now that this new cousin of “The Masked Singer” is up and going in its regular time slot, it harks back to its premiere to bring back the original four and unmask one of them in the new episode “Group A Playoffs — So You Think You Can Mask?” Paula Abdul, Brian Austin Green, Ken Jeong and Ashley Tisdale are the panelists who use their deducing skills to try to determine who’s busting moves inside the costumes. Craig Robinson serves as host.

8 PM ( LIFE) Married at First Sight This unconventi­onal docuseries and social experiment opens Season 12 with “Countdown to Meltdown,” which introduces the 10 new singles who are scrambling with final wedding preparatio­ns as they count down the days until they will meet their mystery spouse at the altar. On top of the usual hassles, though, they’re also trying to manage potential misgivings on the part of their families and other loved ones. On the big day, one bride calls apart when a gift from her husband shatters her expectatio­ns. 8:30 PM * American Housewife Holly Robinson Peete guest stars as a close friend of Katie (Katy Mixon), who is overjoyed when the woman moves to Westport, in the new episode “Mother’s Little Helper.” As Katie goes into overdrive introducin­g the newcomer to others, the outcome may prove to be disappoint­ing. Taylor (Meg Donnelly) is surprised to learn what Greg (Diedrich Bader) has been hiding. Giselle Eisenberg and Daniel DiMaggio also star.

9 PM $ SEAL Team In a new episode called “The Carrot or the Stick,” frustrated by the absence of leads on Ray’s (Neil Brown Jr.) whereabout­s, Jason (David Boreanaz) pushes the members of Bravo team to extreme lengths and even considers crossing a dangerous line to help locate their missing brother. Meanwhile, an exhausted Ray just tries to survive his captivity. Tim Chiou and Ben Youcef guest star; Max Thieriot, A.J. Buckley, Justin Melnick and Tyler Grey also are featured.

9 PM * The Conners Ben (Jay R. Ferguson) is unsettled by a visit from his mother, who brings news of a death and other informatio­n he didn’t know previously, in the new episode “A Cold Mom, a Brother Daddy and a Prison Baby.” Becky and Emilio (Lecy Goranson, guest star Rene Rosado) get to know each other better. The script is by sitcom veterans Jana Hunter and Mitch Hunter (“The Drew Carey Show”). John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf also star.

9 PM ( A&E) Court Cam In a new episode, unexpected courtroom moments include a ruthless and unrepentan­t teenage killer who cruelly taunts the surviving family of his victims, and a judge throws a lawyer in jail. In another segment, a man charged with rape resorts to every trick in the book to escape a life sentence. Another new episode immediatel­y follows. 9:30 PM * Call Your Mother Kyra Sedgwick (“The Closer”) returns to series television in this new sitcom from writer-producer Kari Lizer (“The New Adventures of Old Christine”), which revolves around bored and restless empty-nester mom Jean Raines (Sedgwick). Noticing that her adult children now seem to be living their best lives, Jean makes the audacious decision to move across the country and re-insert herself in the lives of her offspring, much to their dismay. Rachel Sennott, Joey Bragg, Patrick Brammall, Emma Caymares and Austin Crute co-star. Sherri Shepherd has a recurring role.

10 PM $ S.W.A.T. The SWAT team goes in hot pursuit of a cunning sniper targeting the Los Angeles Fire Department, drawing his quarry by setting fires around town to lure unsuspecti­ng engine companies, in the new episode “Under Fire.” Meanwhile, the rivalry between Chris, Street and Tan (Lina Esco, Alex Russell, David Lim) gets more intense after Tan finds out there’s an internal betting pool as to which of them will be named SWAT leader. Shemar Moore, Jay Harrington and Laura James also star.

10:30 PM ( TBS) Full Frontal With Samantha Bee She may have been born in Toronto, but Samantha Bee is plenty savvy when it comes to American politics, which have become fairly, um, complicate­d in recent months. Now, as her adopted home turf is about to see a changing of the guard in the Oval Office, Bee returns for Season 6 of this Emmywinnin­g take-no-prisoners satirical series, which currently is the top-rated late-night series in ad-supported table programmin­g.
