3:30 PM _ NASCAR Cup Series Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the scene today as the NASCAR Cup series rolls into its fourth week with the Pennzoil 400. A field including Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. will do battle on the 1.5-mile tri-oval superspeed­way. Logano won this race for the second straight time a year ago, emerging from a multiple car pileup to come in ahead of Matt DiBenedett­o under caution.

7 PM G 26th Annual Critics’ Choice

Awards A pair of Netflix streaming dramas, “The Crown” and “Ozark,” lead the field of TV nominees with six nomination­s each as Taye Diggs makes his third consecutiv­e appearance as host of this year’s awards ceremonies. TV shows earning at least five nods include HBO’s “Lovecraft Country,” “Schitt’s Creek” and “What We Do in the Shadows.” The Netflix biopic “Mank” dominates the film categories with 12 nods, followed by “Minari” with 10 and “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” with eight.

8 PM $ Oprah With Meghan and

Harry: A CBS Primetime Special Oprah Winfrey sits down with Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, for an hour of candid conversati­on that opens with Meghan telling Winfrey about her experience stepping into life as a British Royal, marriage and motherhood, her philanthro­pic work and adjusting to intense public scrutiny. Harry joins them to talk about their move to the United States and the couple’s hopes and dreams for their expanding family. 8 PM ( FOOD) Tournament of

Champions Guy Fieri returns as host for a new season of this bracket-style culinary competitio­n series wherein 16 of the best chefs from the East and West Coasts go head-to-head in sudden death cooking battles. Chefs representi­ng the East Coast include Madison Cowan, Maneet Chauhan, Darnell Ferguson, Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy and Bryan Voltaggio; West Coast chefs include Cat Cora, Antonia Lofaso, Brian Malarkey, Jet Tila, Michael Voltaggio and last year’s winner, Brooke Williamson. The rotating panel of judges includes Giada De Laurentiis, Scott Conant, Rocco DiSpirito, Marcus Samuelsson and Ming Tsai.

8 PM ( SHO) VICE The Emmy-winning documentar­y series returns for its second season of long-form, on-theground reporting that almost inevitably will include several pieces on the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues its grip on the globe as more variant strains of this powerful bug spread from country to country. It won’t be the only story by a long shot, however. One “VICE” correspond­ent, Isobel Yeung, says she’ll be looking into stories the American TV audience should be more aware of, including U.S.-China relations. With Sam and Graham A propensity for deep beliefs and a reverence for the supernatur­al are embedded in the culture of the Scottish Highlands. In the new episode “Witchcraft and Superstiti­on,” Sam and Graham delve into old superstiti­ons and old witch trials, which left an imprint on Scotland. As an impish bonus, Sam also spends much of this episode trying to scare the daylights out of Graham.

10 PM & Good Girls As this crime dramedy opens Season 4, the Secret Service is closing in on suburban moms turned counterfei­ters Beth, Ruby and Annie (Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman). Beth has been struggling to carve out her own life of crime using Boland Bubbles, her husband’s (Matthew Lillard) spa company, as a front. Ruby, meanwhile, hopes she’s finally got her marriage back on track, while Annie takes a journey to reassert her own independen­ce. 10 PM ( FOOD) The Great Food Truck

Race Season 13 of this hit reality competitio­n series is an epic six-episode event that takes host Tyler Florence and seven teams of aspiring food truck owners to Alaska, where they’ll contend with blistering cold, raging winds and shortened hours of daylight.
