8 PM ( AP) Alaskan Bush People: Wild Life Gabe fails to prevail while trying to protect his most prized possessions against a feisty ostrich in the new episode “Losing Battle.” Elsewhere, some unexpected but determined intruders force the Browns to build a new fence. The Browns also must endure a risky and exhausting journey to a neighboring mountain, while on a happier note, Gabe and Rose await the arrival of their daughter.
8 PM ( TCM) MOVIE Saboteur
A great scene that foreshadowed the chase across Mount Rushmore in “North by Northwest” caps Alfred Hitchcock’s 1942 thriller. An aircraft worker (Robert Cummings) goes on the lam after being accused of causing a friend’s death. To clear himself, he pursues the actual culprit (Norman Lloyd, “St. Elsewhere”) to the top of the Statue of Liberty — and rarely has a ripping sleeve been so suspenseful. Priscilla Lane also stars. The suspenseful classic kicks off tonight’s tribute to Lloyd, the veteran actor, producer and director who died in May at age 106.
9 PM G The Republic of Sarah High school teacher Sarah Cooper (Stella Baker) organizes her tranquil small town as the community faces a grave threat from powerful corporate and government forces in this new drama. A massive vein of coltan, a highly valuable mineral used in tech products, has been discovered under Greylock, N.H., but extracting this mother lode will essentially wipe the town off the map. Sarah and her “army” stand in opposition to forces led by her estranged brother, Danny (Luke Mitchell), who harbors a grudge against Greylock. Megan Follows, Hope Lauren and Ian Duff co-star.
9 PM ( FOOD) BBQ Brawl Eddie Jackson joins returning Iron Chefs Bobby Flay and Michael Symon as a team mentor for Season 2 of this outdoor cooking competition, in which 12 regional barbecue stars from across the United States split into three teams to undertake a variety of challenges. Evaluating their efforts is a panel of judges who include barbecue legend Rodney
Scott, chef Brooke Williamson and lifestyle personality Carson Kressley. Ultimately, one chef wins the coveted “Master of Cue” title, which means being the official barbecue expert on Food Network’s digital platforms for a year.

9 PM ( STRZ) MOVIE Behind the Curtain: Todrick Hall Filmmaker Katherine Fairfax Wright’s inspiring 2017 documentary follows singer and YouTube sensation Todrick Hall, as he launches his most ambitious project to date: “Straight Outta Oz,” a full-scale, original musical about growing up gay in Texas and finding showbiz success. After the adolescent struggle for acceptance within his own deeply religious family, Hall then must confront the harsh realities of show business and mainstream media as a social outsider.
10 PM * The Celebrity Dating Game Actress Zooey Deschanel (“New
Girl”) and Grammy-winning singersongwriter Michael Bolton co-host this wry reboot of the vintage relationship game show, with — as the title suggests — a celebrity component added. Two celebrities each pick a suitor from a hidden panel of three bachelors and/or bachelorettes, based on the latter’s answers to the stars’ questions. However, the identity of the stars initially remains a mystery to the suitors as well, apart from witty parody-song clues provided by Bolton.
