THURSDAY’S BEST PICKS
8 PM ( Little Women: Atlanta LIFE) Season 6 draws to a close with two backto-back episodes, starting with “Skating on Thin Ice,” in which Morlin returns to Atlanta attempting to rekindle things with Monie, although his unexpected appearance at her birthday party makes everyone uncomfortable. Elsewhere, Juicy has a major revelation about her relationship with Josh. Then, in the finale “What Would Minnie Do?,” Abira puts her relationship with Bumpman to the test, while Tamera offers Andrea an exciting career opportunity. 8 PM ( Floribama Shore With MTV) their vacation in Lake Havasu, Ariz., cut short, the family — including the very pregnant Nilsa — returns to Athens, Ga., to get their party re-started by reconnecting to their southern roots. The group’s party headquarters is an animal house in more than one respect, too, with a dog, a pig and two goats. Throw in a revolving door of friends dropping by for a visit, and things get pretty wild, especially during parents’ weekend at the Shore House. 8 PM ( LMN) MOVIE A Mother’s Joyce, a status-conscious socialite, Lie fears a scandal is in the offing when her teenage daughter, Katherine, gets pregnant, so she forbids the teen to tell her boyfriend about the pregnancy and bribes her doctor to tell Katherine the baby died during delivery. Twenty years later, however, Katherine’s young daughter is in critical need of a bone marrow transplant, forcing Joyce to track down the lost child from many years ago as a potential donor. Alex Paxton-Beesley, Madelyn Keys and Sonja Smits star in this 2021 melodrama. 8:20 PM ( NFL Football The future is NFL) now for Daniel Jones and the revamped New York Giants, who get apparently easy pickin’s tonight in the nation’s capital against Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Washington Football Team. Big Blue is expecting big things from the third year signal caller they drafted with the sixth overall pick in 2019, especially now that GM Dave Gettleman has surrounded him with weapons including wide receivers Kenny Golladay, John Ross III and Kadarius Toney and tight end Kyle Rudolph. 9 PM ( Kids Behind Bars: Life or A&E) Parole The new episode “Billy” chronicles the story of William Najar, who was 16 when he fatally shot Michael Decker while the victim was camping in the desert near Phoenix. Now, at age 38, Najar is preparing for a resentencing hearing. As this episode examines Najar’s personal history, including growing up in a chillingly dysfunctional family, it reveals a deeply troubled psyche that seems hellbent on self-destruction. 9 PM ( Double Shot at Love With MTV) DJ Pauly D and Vinny Taking note of how DJ Pauly D and Nikki Hall found love in previous seasons of the show, Vinny Guadagnino — the most eligible bachelor on “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” — helps launch Season 3 with a quest to find his own perfect match. He won’t have to fly solo on that search, though. DJ Pauly D’s days as a wingman may be over, now that he’s off the dating market, but he and Nikki will do everything they can to help Vinny find his ideal mate. 10 PM ( Tacoma FD The Station 24 TRU) squad is kickin’ ash and taking flames as this hit workplace sitcom returns for Season 3, which includes 13 new episodes in which the Tacoma firefighters deal with a new set of challenges, including quarantine stress, prank wars, frustrating upgrades to their beloved stationhouse and, yes, the Annual Pickleball Tournament. All of that is on top of the bizarre incoming emergency calls, with Chief Terry McConky (Kevin Heffernan) and Captain Eddie Penisi (Steve Lemme) running things. Eugene Cordero, Marcus Henderson, Gabriel Hogan and Hassie Harrison also return. 10 PM ( Notorious Queens The WE) epic blowup between Stormey and Mehgan inevitably is followed by some equally major fallout in a new episode called “Guess Who’s Not Coming to Dinner?” Trying to take her mind off that unpleasantness, Mehgan begins her quest in search of the perfect man. Elsewhere, La’Britney struggles to balance work and life demands, while Toni and Stormey finally sit down to discuss their past beef.
