Amedeo Guazzini

Miami, Florida - Amedeo Guazzini, 79, of Levanto (SP), Italy, passed away, Friday, August 27, 2021 in Miami, Florida. A celebration of life service was held at Epiphany Catholic Church in Miami, Florida on Monday, August 30, 2021. Amedeo will be laid to rest by his mother, Italia Bruna Guazzini, and his grandfather, Umberto Fabrizi, at the Cimitero del Convento Ss. Annunziata in Levanto, La Spezia. Amedeo Guazzini is survived by his wife Miriam; daughter Miriann (Roy) Meyeringh; son Paolo Umberto (Jessica) Guazzini; grandchildren Gianmarco, Francesco, Remy; sisters Manuelita and Igina; cousins and many nieces and nephews who live around the world. Amedeo was preceded in death by his parents. Amedeo worked for 40 years in the oil and shipping business, and only retired a few years before passing. Capitano Guazzini, as Amedeo was also known, was a senior Officer in the Italian Merchant Marine, sailing many large vessels including Costa’s Leonardo da Vinci, where he met his wife. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Camillus House in honor of Amedeo Guazzini.
