8 PM G iHeartRadi­o Music Festival Night 1 Ryan Seacrest hosts this starstudde­d two-night special featuring some of the biggest stars in contempora­ry music, filmed in live performanc­e during the two-day event in Las Vegas last month. The lineup for each night of this CW special hasn’t been announced yet, but both nights will pull from a dazzling pool of performers such as Billie Eilish, Journey, Cheap Trick, Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Florida Georgia Line, Maroon 5, Nelly, Khalid and Weezer, among others.

8 PM ( LI FE) MOVIE The Good Father: The Martin Mac

Neill Story Former prosecutor Nancy Grace is an executive producer on this new docudrama, which chronicles how the true nature of a seemingly perfect Utah doctor (Tom Everett Scott) came to light only after the death of his wife, Michele (Charisma Carpenter), a former beauty queen. The MacNeills and their eight children seem to lead an idyllic life, until Martin talks his wife into having cosmetic surgery. She subsequent­ly drowns while taking prescripti­on medication following her procedure. Scant weeks later, MacNeill brings home a new “nanny” for his children.

8 PM ( NICK) Side Hustle As the sitcom returns for Season 2, Lex, Presley and Munchy (Jules LeBlanc, Jayden Bartels, Isaiah Crews) are excited when they get hired as models during the town’s big fashion week. While they initially assume that they’ll be walking the runway in the fashion show itself, however, they soon learn to their dismay that the job is actually to be toy model builders. Mitchell Berg also stars.

9 PM ( HALL) MOVIE Love Strikes Twice Maggie (Katie Findlay, “Nancy Drew”), a workaholic lawyer, spends much time on her job partly because her marriage feels dissatisfy­ing. Wishing she could take a marital mulligan, she wakes up somehow 15 years in the past, which presents her with a provocativ­e choice: let her life take its same course and marry her current husband, Josh (Wyatt Nash), or pursue romance more seriously with her old college flame, Rick (Marshall Williams). Brynn Godenir co-stars in this new romantic fantasy.

9 PM ( SHO) MOVIE North Hollywood After being rejected by the Sundance Film Festival and multiple commercial distributo­rs, writerdire­ctor Mikey Alfred found a strong cult following by releasing this affecting 2021 coming-of-age drama direct to iTunes, where it became one of the most popular movies on that platform. Ryder McLaughlin (“Ballers”) stars as Michael, a teenager in the titular Southern California community, who burns with the ambition to become the next Tony Hawk. Vince Vaughn also stars as his disapprovi­ng father. Miranda Cosgrove co-stars.

9:30 PM ( DISN) Amphibia Matt Braly’s charming animated fantasy about a plucky young Thai-American teenager named Anne (voiced by Brenda Song), who is transporte­d via a magical music box to a fantasy marshland, opens Season 3 with a change of scene, as Anne and the Plantars

— her adoptive frog family — are whisked back to her hometown of

Los Angeles. This unexpected move gives the Plantars a chance to learn about the world at large as they try to find their way back to Amphibia, while concealing their true identities.
