8 PM _ 9-1-1 Athena (Angela Bassett) races to save her family from a tragedy as the citywide blackout continues to spread mayhem throughout Los Angeles in the new episode “Desperate Measures.” Meanwhile, Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) makes a life-changing decision, while Eddie (Ryan Guzman) is forced to make a tough choice about the future. Sasha Roiz (“Grimm”) guest stars.

8 PM ( Black Ink Crew: Chicago VH1) The characters discover a renewed sense of purpose as they struggle to get back to normalcy following the global pandemic as this hit unscripted series returns. Ryan Henry’s business is thriving so well that he is already mulling an expansion, while going through therapy to explore why some of his choices adversely affect some of the important people in his life. Meanwhile, Charmaine Walker struggles with family loss, but is determined to reboot her 2nd City Ink shop and renew dormant business relationsh­ips.

9 PM ( Laetitia In the finale of this HBO) true-crime miniseries, Béatrice (Alix Poisson) meets with Touchais (Yannick Choirat) to fill in the blanks of her complicate­d relationsh­ip with the twins as very disturbing new allegation­s surface. Later, Jessica (Sophie Breyer) confronts both her birth parents and her adoptive parents, hoping to find some closure. Sam Karmann and Noam Morgenszte­rn also star.

10 PM ^ POV The new documentar­y “Fruits of Labor” from filmmaker Emily Cohen Ibanez follows a MexicanAme­rican teenager named Ashley, who lives in a small agricultur­al town on the coast of central California. A high school senior, Ashley dreams of going away to college, but when local ICE raids threaten to separate her family, she is forced to become the principal breadwinne­r. The film is both a poignant coming-of-age story and an examinatio­n of the forces, both seen and unseen, that trap many families like Ashley’s in poverty.

10 PM $ NCIS: Hawai’i A petty officer who devotes himself to helping wayward young people find a new path in the Marines is murdered in the new episode “Recruiter.” Hoping to track down his killer, Kai (Alex Tarrant) goes undercover with one of Hawaii’s oldest surf gangs. Mahina Anne Marie, Ben Venturina and Martin Martinez guest star; Vanessa Lachey, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon also star.

10 PM & Ordinary Joe The birthday of Jenny Banks (Elizabeth Lail) gives everyone a reason to celebrate in the new episode “Happy Birthday Jenny.” Music Joe (James Wolk) crashes the honoree’s party while Amy (Natalie Martinez) is in pull-out-all-the-stops cop mode, and Nurse Joe and Christophe­r seek inspiratio­n for the perfect birthday cake for Jenny.
