Harry Ahlman October 1, 1934 - December 4, 2021

Miami Beach, Florida - Harry A. Ahlman, Jr. passed away peacefully on December 4th surrounded by his friends. He was preceded in death by his father Harry A. Ahlman Sr, mother, Kathleen Ahlman, his sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Palmer Rose, and his niece Renee Rose Callaway. He is survived by his niece, Karen Rose, of Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Harry served his military time in the army oversees. When he returned from his tour of duty, he returned to his family home in Miami Beach, where he lived the rest of his life.

He pursued a career in Interior Decorating and Design. Being surrounded by tasteful surroundin­gs was his passion. He successful­ly created stunning surroundin­gs for many of the grand homes in Miami Beach as well as his own home. His palate was fabrics of silks and satins. He was truly was suited for this type of career. His home represente­d the style of the day and was deemed by some a museum in its own time. He loved decorating his home for the holidays. His specialty was flocking the Christmas trees. His Christmas trees were a work of beauty.

Harry enjoyed a creative and socially active life. He loved to entertain and be entertaine­d. In his younger years, he was always spotted at the popular social events on Miami Beach. He would escort the socially prominent woman to all the gala events. His looked forward to the “social season”, as he called it.

He loved his friends, his home, entertaini­ng, music, old movies, fashion, and St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was on a first name basis at many of the local boutiques. He loved reminiscin­g over old times and friends that were no longer with him. He truly did have some outrageous stories.

We are all better people for being able to know and love Harry Ahlman Jr. A mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Miami Beach on Saturday, December 11th in Harry’s memory.
