he excels as a puller to either side. He’s a fantastic run blocker. He doesn’t have many weaknesses. Linderbaum allowed just one sack in the 2019 and 2020 seasons combined.”

Potential second-day picks include Notre Dame’s Jarrett Patterson, Arizona State’s Dohnovan West and Minnesota’s John Michael Schmitz.

Caleb Martin remains a Heat revelation, a player who not only has improved his three-point shooting percentage from 24.8 percent with Charlotte last season to 36.8 with the Heat, but also become a defensive dynamo. He’s holding the player he’s guarding to 38.7 percent shooting, by the far the best of any player on the Heat.

When Jimmy Butler has been sidelined, Martin has taken on the toughest defensive assignments and has held

Steph Curry and Khris Middleton to 1-for-7 shooting and Trae Young and Bradley Beal to 0 for 4.

The Marlins signed Erik Gonzalez as infield depth; he hit .245, with 11 homers and 74 RBI in 336 games with Cleveland and Pittsburgh. … Outfielder Magneuris Sierra, jettisoned by the Marlins, joined the Angels.

This is neat: NBC-6 is becoming the first TV station in South Florida history — and possibly nationally — to go to an all-female on-air sports department, with Ruthie Polinsky, Hailey Sutton (hired from a TV station in Montgomery, Alabama) and producer/fill-in sports anchor Giselle Espinales, who’s married to WPLGABC sports anchor Will Manso. Sutton replaces Jorge Andres, who left the station and will work nationally for Telemundo.
