On December 31, 2021, John Aaron Melear bravely and gracefully finished his job here and was welcomed into Heaven by his Savior.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11 AM at First Baptist Boynton, 301 North Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse at www.samaritans­purse.org in memory of John.

Davie, Florida - Lois Rae Perdue, who lived life fully and loved deeply, passed away from pancreatic cancer on January 5, 2022. She leaves behind her beloved husband and best friend, Donald P. Perdue (m. 1989), two loving children, Adam Frimet and Wendy Frimet Jacobs and grandchild­ren, Eli and Isaac Jacobs. Other family includes brother-inlaw Ron Perdue (Lynda), brother Jerry Sokolow, sister Barbara Sokolow Fleet who predecease­d her, many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with her loveable Springer Doodle Luca.

Lois was born December 13, 1941 to Frank and Rose Sokolow, moved to Miami at age two, and later attended Miami Senior High School (1959). Lois yearned to become an artist, but initially pursued careers in both journalism and public relations. Lois’ work included articles for the Miami Herald, Sun-Sentinel, South Florida Business Journal, and Daily Business Review. Lois also served as the marketing director for Benihana Corporatio­n, provided in-house marketing for a large legal firm,
