Herbert Friedlande­r, October 6, 1927 - January 6, 2021, Miami Florida. Herb was predecease­d by his daughter Julie (daughter Tiffany). He is survived by his wife, Betty of 66 years, his daughter Sherie (Steve) and his son David (Michele); grandchild­ren Louis & Joelle; granddaugh­ter Tiffany (John); great grandchild­ren Conor and Giuliana. Herbert was born and grew up in the Bronx, graduating from Hunter college after serving in the Army. He moved to Miami Beach after college and “got sand in his shoes”. Met the the love of his life, Betty, at the Capri Hotel on Miami Beach. He was a lifeguard, owned a pool concession, worked as a Fireman, and later was the Insurance manager for the city of Miami Beach. He later went on to serve as the Insurance manager for Lums and finally as a VP for Seitlin & Company, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed his retirement with his beautiful wife Betty, listening to jazz music and always ready to dance. He was an avid golfer, tennis player and gym goer. (“that’s the fountain of youth”) He relished his friends and the time he served on the board for the Foot-lighter’s Club of So Florida.
