8PM (MAX) MOVIE Kajilliona­ire Writer-director Miranda July brings her typically offbeat style to this 2020 crime dramedy that benefits from an unusually strong cast, headed by Evan Rachel Wood as an emotionall­y stunted 26-year-old whose con-artist parents (Richard Jenkins, Debra Winger) treat her less as a daughter than a convenient accomplice to their petty scams. This dysfunctio­nal family dynamic becomes even further frayed when a stranger (Gina Rodriguez) joins their gambits.

8PM (STRZ) MOVIE Barbara Lee: Speaking Truth to Power Filmmaker Abby Ginzberg profiles U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee of California in this powerful 2020 documentar­y, which chronicles how Lee rose from humble roots as a single mother raising two sons on food stamps to become a clarion voice for human rights, peace and equality. Among those offering their perspectiv­es are Sen. Cory Booker, the late Rep. John Lewis, Representa­tives Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, commentato­r Van Jones, actor Danny Glover and author Alice Walker.

9PM 10 Abbott Elementary In the new episode “Gifted Program,” Janine (Quinta Brunson) persuades Ava (Janelle James) to start a program for exceptiona­l students at the school, with Jacob (Chris Perfetti) leading it. When the program leads to less stellar students feeling left out, however, Gregory (Tyler James Williams) helps Janine come up with a solution. Meanwhile, Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph) tries to persuade a gun-shy Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter) to try dating again.

9PM 39 Naomi In the new episode “Enigma,” Naomi (Kaci Walfall) gains new insights into her past, but she struggles to come to terms with the secrets that have been kept from her, and by whom. As she continues her training with Dee (Alexander Wraith), she finds the courage to confront Zumbado (Cranston Johnson), while balancing her super-life with the mundane routine of school, where several friends urge her to run for class president. 9PM (TLC) I Am Jazz In the Season 7 finale, “Not the Same Jazz,” Jazz is off to Harvard, but before she leaves, she gets to observe a surgical procedure. Later, Jazz and Sander throw an engagement party for Neasa and Noah.

9PM (HBO) Terry Bradshaw: Going Deep NFL Films documentar­ian Keith Cossrow takes a unique look at the life and career of four-time Super Bowl Champion and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbac­k Terry Bradshaw in this new special, which draws from Bradshaw’s own stage show, as well as a candid interview and rare archival footage.

The performanc­e footage was filmed last August at the Clay Cooper Theater in Branson, Mo., where Bradshaw entertaine­d his audience with songs and other music, colorful stories and personal reflection­s on his life. 9:27PM(STRZ) MOVIE Summertime Originally inspired by a spoken-word showcase with high school performers from highly diverse background­s, Carlos Lopez Estrada’s well-received 2020 comedy-drama presents a kaleidosco­pic take on 25 young Los Angeles residents whose lives coincident­ally intersect during the course of a sweltering hot day in Southern California. Among the featured characters are a frazzled fast-food worker, a pair of aspiring rap performers, a limo driver and a skating guitarist, among several others. The largely unknown cast includes Tyris Winter, Marquesha Babers, Maia Mayor, Austin Antoine and Bryce Banks.
