Nothing says spring like the smell of race car exhaust in the air, as is evident at the NASCAR Cup Series’ season-opening race, the Daytona 500. A field including Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Chase Elliott, Martin Truex Jr. and defending race champ Michael McDowell will do battle at speeds approaching 200 mph on the 2.5-mile oval of Daytona International Speedway in pursuit of not only an early win, but their place in history as a winner of the “Great American Race.”
