12 PM (DSC) Naked and Afraid From the haunted highlands of Chiapas, Mexico, to an unnerving cave system in Colombia, a new season of this extreme survival series takes some of the toughest adventure seekers from around the world and thrusts them — naked and with virtually no modern comforts — into some of the wildest and most punishing places on Earth. Longtime viewers of this hit reality series are in for some surprises as the season plays out against previously unseen locations, with a more diverse lineup of survivalis­ts than ever before. 8PM * American Idol Ryan Seacrest, who has been with “American Idol” since its 2002 premiere on Fox, returns as host as this Emmy-winning music competitio­n series opens its historic 20th season, which is expected to include guest appearance­s by former contestant­s as it unfolds. Also back are judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, who have been with “Idol” since it moved to

ABC in 2018. Production details are still in discussion, but the show is expected to continue the format it has used since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

8PM (FOOD) Tournament of Champions A powerhouse hit in previous seasons, host Guy Fieri’s culinary competitio­n really steps things up for Season 3, with a bracket-style competitio­n that includes twice as many chefs, double the battles and episodes that run two hours. The skills and creativity of 32 exceptiona­l chefs from the East and West Coasts are tested as never before. East Coast chefs include Season 2 winner Maneet Chauhan, Tiffani Faison, Bryan Voltaggio and Amanda Freitag; Antonia Lofaso, Marcel Vigneron and Michael Voltaggio are among the West Coast chefs.

8PM (TBS) (TNT) 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Helen Mirren will receive the SAG Life Achievemen­t Award during this year’s ceremonies, simulcast on both TBS and TNT live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. The award, presented annually to an actor who fosters “the finest ideals of the acting profession,” is only the latest accolade for Mirren, whose many previous honors include an Oscar, three Emmys and a Tony Award, among several others. In the competitiv­e performanc­e categories, “House of Gucci” and “Power of the Dog” lead the movie nomination­s with three nods each.

8PM (BBCA) Killing Eve Eve, Villanelle and Carolyn (Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw) each finds herself in an unfamiliar emotional place as this multi-award-winning thriller returns for its fourth and final season, which comprises eight episodes. After their meaningful exchange on the bridge at the climax of Season 3, Eve (Oh) embarks on a revenge mission, while Villanelle has found a new community as she struggles to prove she’s not a monster. Elsewhere, Carolyn continues pursuing The Twelve and the person who ordered the hit on Kenny.

9PM $ NCIS: Los Angeles Callen, Sam (Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J) and the rest of the NCIS team assist a U.S. ambassador who is searching for her missing daughter, Gia (guest star Caitlin Carmichael), who also is a social media influencer of some note in her own right, in the new episode “Under the Influence.” Elsewhere, Agent Aliyah De León (guest star Briana Marin) returns to lend her support on the case. Patricia Rae also guest stars; Linda Hunt and Daniela Ruah also star.

10 PM (SHO) Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber From “Billions” cocreators Brian Koppelman and David Levien, this new dramatic anthology series delves into a story that rocked the business world to its core and changed popular culture, with each season following a different story and characters. Season 1, adapted from a bestsellin­g book by Mike Isaac, chronicles how the success of a ride-sharing company stands as both a marvel and a cautionary tale. Leading the cast is Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Travis Kalanick, Uber’s hard-charging CEO. Uma Thurman, Kyle Chandler and Elisabeth Shue also are featured.
