8PM (BRV) Top Chef Host Padma Lakshmi, head judge Tom Colicchio and veteran panelist Gail Simmons return for Season 19 of this Emmy-winning culinary competitio­n series, which moves the action to Houston. This season sees 15 talented chefs from across America undertake some unique challenges, such as making space-friendly dishes for former astronauts. Another episode inspired by a challenge on “Top Chef France” tasks the chefs with creating two identical-looking dishes that taste completely different. The winner receives a $250,000 grand prize, as well as the coveted Top Chef title.

8:31 PM 4 B Positive A stressed-out Gina (Annaleigh Ashford) struggles to keep things at Valley Hills running smoothly after Mrs. Ludlum (Anna Maria Horsford) resigns to work at a rival assisted-living facility in the new episode “Payroll, a Waterfall and Valley Forge.” Meanwhile, Drew (Thomas Middleditc­h) can’t decide whether to stick close to Gina or embark on a new road trip. Kether Donohue and Linda Lavin also star. 9PM 39 Legacies In the new episode “Follow the Sound of My Voice,” Hope and Lizzie (Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd) find themselves at a carnival with an unusual cast of characters. Meanwhile, back at the Salvatore School, something is causing the students to speak their minds, making Jed (Ben Levin) blurt out a secret. Elsewhere, Kaleb and MG (Chris Lee, Quincy Fouse) embark on a new mission that doesn’t go as they planned. Matthew Davis, Omono Okojie and Aria Shahghasem­i also star.

9:01 PM 4 Ghosts After Sam and Jay (Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar) ask the ghosts to start bunking together to make more rooms available to guests, they discover that Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long) has been suffering from night terrors in the new episode “Thorapy.” Determined to help the gentle Viking specter, Sam enlists the help of a therapist. Elsewhere, Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) makes a big personal revelation when circumstan­ces compel him to seduce Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), his new designated roommate.

10 PM 6 Law & Order: Organized Crime As a rolling blackout brings the city to its knees, Stabler and Bell (Christophe­r Meloni, Danielle Moné Truitt) desperatel­y work to stay at least one step ahead of the diabolical Richard Wheatley (Dylan McDermott) in the new episode “... Wheatley Is to Stabler.” Meanwhile, Jet and Malachi (Ainsley Seiger, Wesam Keesh) receive some help from an improbable source, and Bernadette (recurring guest star Ellen Burstyn) is swept up in her son Elliott’s mess.

10 PM (FREE) grown-ish The new episode “Can’t Let You Go” finds twins Jack and Diane (Miles Brown, Marsai Martin in their roles from “black-ish”) paying a visit to big sister Zoey (Yara Shahidi) on campus for a school project. Meanwhile, Zoey and Luca (Luka Sabbat) also are wrestling with defining boundaries in their romantic and working relationsh­ips. Things get tense between Kiela and Doug (Daniella Perkins, Diggy Simmons) when she finds out he left her panel to see Jazz (Chloe Bailey).

10 PM (FXX) Dicktown Season 1 of this adult animated series aired as part of the anthology series “Cake,” but for Season 2, main characters John Hunchman — a former boy detective now pushing middle age, voiced by John Hodgman — and his sidekick, David Purefoy (voice of David Rees, Hodgman’s co-creator) — solve mysteries in Richardvil­le, N.C., in a new stand-alone format. In the premiere, “The Mystery of the Missing Pimento Cheese Recipe and the Mystery of Mammal Island,” the guys search for a stolen recipe and go undercover in a video game.
