TUESDAY’S BEST PICKS

-

8PM & American Auto This new sitcom from “Superstore” creator Justin Spitzer drew strong praise from critics, but is still trying to find the audience it deserves. With hopes for a second season still up in the air, this wickedly funny workplace comedy wraps its freshman season with “Profile,” which finds the Payne Motors team scrambling to do pre-emptive damage control as their gaffe-prone boss, Katherine (Ana Gasteyer), films a segment for a TV newsmagazine. Harriet Dyer, Michael Benjamin Washington, Tye White, Humphrey Ker and Jon Barinholtz also star.

8:30 PM & Grand Crew This new vinocentric NBC sitcom closes out its freshman season with a finale called “Wine & Art,” which finds Wyatt (Justin Cunningham) asking Sherm (Carl Tart) to sit as his subject after the former unexpectedly gets into an art show. Meanwhile, Nicky (Nicole Byer) has some advice for Noah (Echo Kellum), who can’t sense whether Simone (Ashleigh Morghan) is ready to take another step in their relationship. Elsewhere, Fay (Grasie Mercedes) shows Anthony (Aaron Jennings) some dance moves.

9PM _ I Can See Your Voice Vanessa Lachey, Kandi Burruss and Jim Jefferies join host Ken Jeong and regular panelists Cheryl Hines and Adrienne Houghton for the season finale of this offbeat game show, in which a panel of celebrity detectives try to help a contestant tell whether a singer is good or bad, without ever hearing them sing a note. Tonight’s contestant is Elymagda Gonzalez of Puerto Rico, who hopes to use any winnings to buy a home for her son and herself, as well as helping out her parents.

10 PM $ FBI: Most Wanted Julian McMahon bids farewell to the criminal procedural he has led for three seasons with his last appearance as Supervisory Special Agent Jess LaCroix in the new episode “Shattered,” which finds Jess and his team trying to save a woman fleeing an abusive relationship. Her exboyfriend didn’t take that decision very well, embarking on a murderous spree as he pursues his fugitive lover. McMahon startled fans of this series in January with his announcement to leave the show to pursue other opportunities.

10 PM (CNBC) No Retreat: Business Bootcamp Joe De Sena, a former Wall Street broker turned “serial entrepreneur,” hosts this new reality series, which challenges managers from struggling businesses to participate in a series of mental and physical tasks at an elite training facility known as “The Farm,” in the mountains of Vermont. Drawn in part from ancient Spartan military philosophy, these challenges promise to show each business team how to reach its full potential in facing the future. Working with De Sena are

The story chronicles the true-crime saga of Betsy Faria’s (Katy Mixon, “American Housewife”) brutal 2011 murder, a crime for which her husband, Russ (Glenn Fleshler), initially was convicted. That conviction eventually was overturned, however, as a chain of events exposed a diabolical scheme involving a criminal, Pam Hupp (Zellweger). Josh Duhamel, Judy Greer and Sean Bridgers also star. 10:01 PM (A&E) Deep Fried Dynasty Since 1886, the State Fair of Texas has drawn huge crowds each fall, apart from hiatuses during periods of war or pandemic. The event has a staggering array of attractions, but one of the main things that keeps visitors coming back is the food. This new docuseries spotlights some of the big personalities and grease-soaked geniuses who bank on turning deep-fried delicacies into major profits. Family-run small businesses are behind such sinfully delicious treats as Deep Fried Butter, Crispy Crazy Corn, Fried S’Mores and Toffee Coffee Crunch Cake. Another episode follows.
