Teresa Requate July 6, 1930 - March 2, 2022

Palmetto Bay, Florida - Terry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2nd. Daughter of Sylvester and Ellen, Terry was born in the Bronx, NY on July 6, 1930 and moved to Miami, FL in 1961. Terry is survived by her loving children: John (Sheila) Leibel, Art (Cathy) Requate, Jr., Susan (Charlie) Serrats, Terry (Pat) Madden, Rose (Bubba) Russell, Jean (Kenny) Bell along with 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Terry was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur, and her son,

Michael Leibel.

Art and Terry owned & operated 5 restaurants in Coral Gables from the mid-1960s to the mid-1990s before retiring and spending time between their homes in Miami and Key Largo. Beloved by family and friends, Terry was a mother to all. If any of her children’s friends needed a shoulder to lean on, “Mom” was always there.

A viewing & service will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home located at 10545 S Dixie Highway in Pinecrest, FL on Thursday, March 10th from 5 - 8 p.m. with a private graveside service on Friday, March 11th. The family would like to thank the wonderful nursing team and staff at St. Anne’s Assisted Living Residences who took excellent care of our Mom during her final years.
