UM’s Cristobal to host super coaches clinic
Miami Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal recently finished putting together an impressive coaching staff.
Now he has put together an impressive coaches clinic.
The University of Miami announced on Thursday a two-day “U 2022 Coaches Clinic” with some heavy hitters on Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26.
The clinic coaches advertised include defending Super Bowl champion Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams, plus former Hurricanes 1987 national championship coach and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Jimmy Johnson, who won two Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys.
Also speaking at the clinic will be former UM assistant coach Ed Orgeron, who led LSU and Joe Burrow to a win over Clemson for the College Football Playoff national title after the 2019 season.
Another clinic participant, according to UM, will be former special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi, who worked in the same capacity for 10 seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
“HONORED to host such PRESTIGIOUS PROFESSIONALS in our industry!!! Gonna be a GREAT WEEKEND!,” Cristobal posted on the tweet he sent out. “And yes- WE WILL BE IN FULL PADS FOR Saturday’s PRACTICE !!!#GoCanes
The cost of the clinic is $50, according to the link on the Tweet that Cristobal posted. “This clinic will include the University of Miami Football Coaches, guest speakers, position specific drill instruction, a weight room presentation, food, and much more.”
Walk-up registrants are welcome, according to UM.
