TUESDAY’S BEST PICKS

-

8 PM $ FBI When a young couple who just returned from Cancun is found murdered in a New York City park, the team sets out to find a suspect who has ties to the local drug trade in the new episode “One Night Stand.” Meanwhile, on a more personal note, Scola (John Boyd) resolves to turn over a new leaf when it comes to his relationships. Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto and Alana De La Garza also star.

8PM _ The Resident An already tense situation takes a dangerous turn when Conrad (Matt Czuchry) confronts a pharmacy owner about some fraudulent prescriptions filed under Conrad’s name in the new episode “Ride or

Die.” Later, the ER is thrown into chaos when a street-racing accident leads to multiple severe injuries. Meanwhile, the Raptor (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) faces a personal crisis as his mother’s condition worsens. Summer Selby guest stars; Bruce Greenwood and

Jane Leeves also star.

9 PM ^ Rise of the Nazis: Dictators at War This absorbing docuseries launches its second season by revisiting the defining conflict of World War II as Adolf Hitler confronts an equally ruthless dictator in Russia’s Joseph Stalin. Hitler, at the peak of his power, tries to trick Stalin with a plan for Germany to invade Britain, but Der Fuhrer actually is plotting an attack on the Soviet Union. Stalin, however, has a spy in Hitler’s headquarters, and counters with an offensive that has Germany facing defeat on the Eastern Front of the war.

10 PM * To Tell the Truth In a new episode, host Anthony Anderson welcomes celebrity panelists Amanda Seales, Kevin Nealon and Jaleel White, who take their turn at trying to separate the real McCoy guests from the imposters. They include an Irish step dancer, an exorcist, a record-holding birdwatcher, someone who has thrown out the first pitch at 24 stadiums and a famous children’s book author.

10:01 PM & The Thing About Pam This unconventional true-crime thriller — which plays a lot like an episode of “Dateline” written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen of “Fargo” — wraps up Season 1 with “She’s a Killer,” which finds Pam Hupp (Renee Zellweger) resorting to shocking and farcically absurd extremes to extricate herself from the mind-boggling web of lies she has spun. Despite her best efforts, though, some measure of justice, redemption and hope finally is granted. Judy Greer, Josh Duhamel and Glenn Fleshler also star.
