A self-inflicted demise for Russia and Putin
For all intents and purposes, the world is at war with Russia — militarily, economically, politically and philosophically.
Ukraine has tragically become a proxy “world war,” with 12 NATO countries contributing many billions of dollars in military, intelligence and civilian aid. This is becoming a war of attrition. Russia has lost more troops in weeks in Ukraine than it did in years in Afghanistan.
Russia is bleeding rubles, its oil and gas buyers are going elsewhere, it is losing military equipment at an alarming rate, and Ukraine is becoming more “offensive” with each passing day.
The West knows this. Russia will run out of money and Russians will turn against their leader, President Vladimir Putin.
Meanwhile, the West will continue to pour more and more equipment and money into Ukraine. This “world war” can only end one way: Russia will emerge bankrupt, financially and morally, and Putin will be deposed and Russia will be relegated to the ranks of North Korea. Now, it’s just a matter of time. Russia will fail.
Tragically, however, many more courageous Ukrainians will perish. Their country will be left in ruins.
The West must continue to step up, in every way possible.
Putin chose the most egregious course he could to ensure his own demise. He has allowed the West to crush him, in the name of defense and peace.
Hopefully, the Russian people will soon rise up and topple him and his corrupt government.
God bless Ukraine.
