Deland, Florida - Charles Rector Adams II, 79, of Deland, FL., died peacefully at home 9/7/2022. He was born in Bay Shore, N.Y. 11/18/1942 to Charles Rector Adams and Elizabeth Crossman, graduated 1960 from Jackson High School, Miami, FL., attended the University of Florida 1 yr., then joined the Marines. Charles was manning the control tower during the attack on Con Thein base, Viet Nam near the DMZ in 1967. After military service he worked for FAA air traffic control, then Green family’s body shop in south Dade with his second wife, Lynn Green, and finally retired after a long career with Florida East Coast Railway as a train engineer. He loved motorcycle­s and going to Key West and Daytona with biker friends. Survived by: first cousins, Jennifer Adams Roos, Annapolis, MD, and Priscilla Adams Madigan, Atlanta, GA and step-aunt Juin Crosse Adams, Blowing Rock, NC. Homestead, Florida Barbara was born in Barre, VT to Shirley and Glendon Randall. On August 5,1967 she married Brian Hudson and they moved to Florida in 1972.

Barbara will be remembered for her generosity, her loving spirit, and her incredible strength. A woman who was ‘tiny but mighty’ she was always strongest when supporting her family.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Brian Hudson; her daughters Valerie Hudson-Radi and Julie (Tony) Tejera; her grandchild­ren; great grandchild; and her siblings Glendon Randall, Jr., Patricia Randall, and Kenneth (Berta) Randall.

Services will be held later this year in both Vermont and Florida. In lieu of flowers, please do an unexpected act of kindness in Barbara’s name.
