MONDAY’S BEST PICKS
8 PM $ The Neighborhood When Dave (Max Greenfield) decides to disconnect the Johnson home from the grid, he inadvertently causes a community-wide power outage, much to Calvin’s (Cedric the Entertainer) frustration in the Season 5 premiere “Welcome Back to the Neighborhood.” Also, in the wake of Marty’s (Marcel
Spears) engagement to girlfriend Necie (Chelsea Harris), Tina (Tichina Arnold) struggles with no longer being the primary woman in her son’s life. Beth Behrs, Sheaun McKinney and Hank Greenspan also star.
8PM & The Voice We can finally breathe again — the Season 22 premiere of our favorite singing competition returns. Last year history was made as Girl Named Tom became the first group to win. But one thing we know is that Team Kelly will not be bringing home another trophy this time around as this year’s coaches include Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and new coach Camila Cabello. Will the “Havana” singer have beginner’s luck? Or will the newly-married Stefani pick up where she left off? 8PM _ 9-1-1 The end of Season 5 gave us a lot of shocking moments and we’re finally getting a chance to see where all of that was headed in the Season 6 premiere. Among the questions: are Buck (Oliver Stark) and Taylor (Megan West) really splitting up? What’s the status of Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Chimney’s (Kenneth Choi) relationship? Is Bobby (Peter Krause) going to hold on to his sobriety? What we do know is that Angela Bassett and Corinne Massiah will return.
8:30 PM $ Bob Hearts Abishola Expect some fireworks with the Season 4 premiere “Touched by a Holy Hand,” as Abishola (Folake Olowofoyeku) and Kemi (Gina Yashere) hatch a plan to keep her married mom (Saidah Arrika Ekulona) from being eyed by the new pastor (Jonathan Adams). And Bob (Billy Gardell) is thrown for a loop when Goodwin (Bayo Akinfemi) leaves for Christina’s (Maribeth Monroe) successful footwear startup. Matt Jones and Shola Adewusi also star.
9PM $ NCIS Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) is still on the run with his ex-wife Vivian (Teri Polo), so the team investigates who might have a vendetta against him in order to clear his name. Enlisting the help of “NCIS: Hawai’i’s” Special Agent Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and Computer Specialist Ernie Malik (Jason Antoon) who are in town meeting with Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) in preparation for a global military exercise, the group tracks down their prime suspect, The
Raven, in the Season 20 premiere episode “A Family Matter.”
9:02 PM _ The Cleaning Lady If you like seat of your pants action, the Season 2 premiere brings us right back into the drama of Cambodian doctor Thony (Elodie Yung) who came to the U.S. for medical treatment that could save her ailing son. Because of her undocumented status she is forced to navigate the criminal world in order to save her son’s life. Last year the show ranked as one of the top five new broadcast dramas. Adan Canto, Oliver Hudson and Martha Millan also star.
10 PM & Quantum Leap It’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, in this new reboot, a new team led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee) has been assembled to restart the project in hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. But Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind with only Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who appears in the form of a hologram only Ben can see and hear, to assist him. Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park and Nanrisa Lee also star.
