“Gilligan’s Island” (MeTV, Sunday, Oct. 2): How did an apparent ghost decide to haunt the island and the castaways? That’s the big question in “Ghost-A-Go-Go,” one of many Halloween-y episodes of classic shows that MeTV is featuring through October. Fun trivia: The supposed poltergeist is played by Richard Kiel, alias villain Jaws in two of Roger Moore’s 007 adventures. “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (Freeform, Monday, Oct. 3): The original, Joss Whedon-written 1992 movie that inspired the much-loved television series helps lead Freeform’s annual “31 Days of Halloween” festival this year. Kristy Swanson was the first actress to play the unlikely opponent of the undead, leading a notable cast also including Donald Sutherland and two talents who had runs in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Luke Perry and thendouble-Oscar-winner-to-be Hilary Swank. “The Flip Wilson Show” (Decades, Saturday, Oct. 8): Comedian Wilson had a huge success in the early 1970s with his now rarely seen variety series, with many skits featuring Wilson’s sassy and very popular character Geraldine Jones. This “Decades Binge” showcasing of the program runs virtually all weekend and features musical guests ranging from Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder to Bing Crosby and Johnny Cash. “Westworld” (Turner Classic Movies, Saturday, Oct. 8): The subsequent HBO series has been a lot more complex, but writer-director Michael Crichton’s original 1973 sci-fi tale does a highly entertaining job of laying down the basics. Richard Benjamin and James Brolin play visitors to a resort where guests get to live out past eras, with Yul Brynner as an Old West gunslinger who’s actually one of the robots that pose problems when the technology runs amok.
