8PM ^ Nature The Great East African Migration is a spectacle that can be seen from space and the most impressive mass movement of land animals on Earth. More than one million wildebeest, along with zebra, gazelle and elands, journey in a quest to find fresh grass. Two Maasai guides, Derrick Nabaala and Evalyn Sintoya, have spent the last 10 years tracking the wildebeest as they migrate through Kenya’s Mara ecosystem and expose the modern-day conflict between people and wildlife in the new episode “Running With the Beest.”

8PM & Chicago Med When they say supply chain issues are causing problems all over, they really mean it. The effects of the supply chain shortages continue to impact the E.D. when Vanessa’s (Asjha Cooper) drug dealer reappears. Then, one of the victims of the recent train crash needs a transplant, forcing Crockett (Dominic Rains) to improvise. Meanwhile, Charles (Oliver Platt) and Nellie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) help a patient with amnesia in the new episode, “Yep, This Is the World We Live In.”

8PM (TBS) MLB Baseball Now that the National League has gotten its Championsh­ip Series underway last night, it’s the American League’s turn with Game 1 of the ALCS. The two survivors of the AL Division Series will be pulling out all the stops in this best-of-seven matchup as the winner will go on to vie with the NL champ in the World Series, beginning Oct. 28.

8:30 PM * The Goldbergs As her due date approaches, Erica (Hayley Orrantia) is over the exhausting pregnancy and demands a “babymoon.” Then when things take an unforeseen turn, Geoff (Sam Lerner) is required to produce the one person Erica needs more than anyone. Meanwhile, Adam (Sean Giambrone) and Barry (Troy Gentile) seek out advice from some unexpected sources in the new episode “Uncle-ing.” Wendi McLendon-Covey also stars.

9PM G Kung Fu Upon hearing that Henry (Eddie Liu) is a person of interest in a heist gone wrong, Nicky (Olivia Liang) heads to Thailand to help him — forcing them to confront their unresolved issues. Then, Mei-Li (Kheng Hua Tan) needs help reorganizi­ng at Harmony Dumplings, so Jin (Tzi Ma) and Althea (Shannon Dang) team up to help. Meanwhile, Ryan (Jon Prasida) gets some relationsh­ip advice from an unlikely source in the new episode “The Compass.” 10 PM (BET) After Happily Ever After In this series premiere, host Bow Wow throws a singles party. These parties, however, are only attended by the ex-spouses of current singles so that they can determine who might be best suited for their former partner. The exes will invite one prospect to move into the house to date their former spouse for 48 hours. At the end of the two days, the dater will decide if they will keep the prospect or send them back and have another opportunit­y to meet someone new.

10 PM (IFC) Documentar­y Now! This two-part season premiere episode “Soldier of Illusion, Part 1,” written by John Mulaney stars Alexander Skarsgard, Nicholas Braun and August Diehl and was inspired by the Werner Herzog-focused documentar­y “Burden of Dreams.” In the early 1980s, a visionary German filmmaker (Skarsgard) tries to will his magnum opus into existence while working in the remote, punishing conditions of the Russian mountains. Kevin Bishop, Gana Bayarsaikh­an, Matthias Rimpler and Fred Armisen also star, with Helen Mirren as host.
