Faith Burtis Doyle July 3, 1926 - October 7, 2022

Miami, Florida - Faith Burtis Doyle went to her everlasting reward at age 96 on October 7, 2022. Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 3, 1926 to Theodore Alfred Burtis and Faith Walsh Burtis, she attended the Ursuline School and graduated from Marymount College in New York. She married Richard B. Doyle of Norwalk, Ohio on March 3, 1957, and was a loving mother to four children. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Barbara Deegan and Gaynor Houghton, her son Theodore, and her husband Richard. She is survived by her sons Richard Jr (Michelle) and James (Trudi), her daughter Faith, grandchildren Lauren Russell (Jon) and Kellyn Doyle (Shayne), great grandchildren Emerson Rose and Phoebe Theodora Russell, and siblings Constance McGillicuddy and Burt Burtis. She was a devout Catholic attending St. Rose of Lima and St Joseph’s parish. She served as a Dame of Malta, and was deeply committed to the Marion Center here in Miami. An avid golfer she was a member at Miami Shores, La Gorce and Indian Creek Country Clubs in Miami. She made her one and only hole-in-one at Indian Creek. She loved to travel and would spend a month most summers exploring and golfing in the British Isles. She particularly loved Ireland and would spend many of those summers at Adare Manor in County Limerick. She had an active social life; loved going out to dinner, playing bridge, antique shopping, and playing the slots. Visitation will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Surfside on October 20, 2022 at 10:30 am with funeral mass to follow at 11:30.
