Lyle D Lieberman August 15, 1932 - October 14, 2022
Miami, Florida - Born and raised in Chicago, Lyle D. Lieberman moved to Miami in 1960. He attended Northwestern University in Chicago and obtained his BA in 1953 and his JD in 1956. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar and to the Florida Bar in 1958. Mr. Lieberman started his law practice in Miami in 1960 specializing in personal injury. In 1978 he became a US administrative law judge at the Social Security Administration where he served for two years. In 1980, when he left the Social Security Administration, he started a trial practice specializing in social security law. He was frequently the featured speaker at seminars for attorneys and judges involving social security law and was a past president of the National
Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR) as well as a member of numerous professional organizations. He provided testimony to Congressional panels such as the Ways and Means Committee, the Social Security Subcommittee, and the Presidential Commission on Pain.
Mr. Lieberman will be greatly missed by family and friends because he was a gentle and generous soul who was always present when needed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Amarillys Lieberman, his stepdaughter, Lourdes Palomo and grandchildren, Alana U. Guilarte (Joel), Matthew Mendez and Maxwell Mendez; great granddaughter Annabelle Guilarte, his sister, Linda Reich, his nephew, Rick Kramer (Linda), his nieces, Lisa Kramer, Claire Lieberman and Jill Tingle (Scott) and his sisterin-law, Jan Lieberman. He was predeceased by his beloved younger brother, Barry Lieberman.
Graveside services will take place on Sunday, October 30th, 11:30 am, at Mount Nebo at Memorial Kendall Gardens, 5900 SW 77th Ave. Miami, FL 33143.
