JOHN BORSA Jr December 30, 1969 - October 17, 2022

Miami, Florida - BORSA, Jr., JOHN, a native Miamian passed away unexpected­ly on Monday, October 17th. He was the Business Manager and Recorder of the Mahi Shrine, as well as the Scottish Rite Treasurer. He was the Past Master of several Lodges, a PDDGM, and a past secretary of Coral Gables Lodge. He was well known throughout the state, has had several Grand Lodge appointmen­ts.

John had a love of history and music and was well versed in both. He knew anything and everything you ever wanted to know about Miami and the Keys. His other love was his family and family get togethers. John will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. He had a kind soul and a generous heart.

He is survived by his wife, Justine; step-son, Blake; daughter, Abigail; son, Tyler; Mother, Sherry Borsa; Father, John Borsa, Sr. predecease­d him; his Father-inlaw, William Derr and Mother-in-law, Snowey; Uncles Howard Borsa (Betty Jean) of Georgia; Gary Eversole (Johanna) of Florida; as well as many other relatives including Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins who all loved him and will miss him.

The viewing is Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stanfill Funeral Home, located at 10545 South Dixie Highway; Miami, Florida 33156; The funeral is Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary St. Richard Catholic Church located at 7500 SW 152 Street; Palmetto Bay, Florida 33157 with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park.

A celebratio­n of John’s life to follow at the Scottish Rite; 471 NW 3rd Street; Miami, Florida 33128; with food and drink.
