8 PM _ 2022 World Series regular season and three rounds of playoffs, two teams are left standing as the champions of the American and National Leagues square off tonight with Game 1 of the 2022 World Series. The winner of this best-of-seven series takes home the Commission­er’s Trophy as the MLB champs. Last year,

that honor went to the Atlanta Braves, who defeated the Houston Astros in six games for their first title in 26 years and fourth in franchise history.

Ultimate Girls Trip What happens in New England spills out into much of the surroundin­g Mid-Atlantic states and beyond. Things get out of hand after spending the day shopping in town and Dorinda ends up refereeing the girls in some field day games. Then, Vicki’s medical woes continue and Dorinda and Brandi go head-tohead in a lasagna bake-off in the new episode “Dazed and Excused.”

After a near-death New Mutants experience during a bizarre tornado, Danielle Moonstar (Blu Hunt) wakes up in an abandoned research facility run by Dr. Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga). There, four other equally uncommon teenagers — Illyana Rasputin (Anya Taylor-Joy), Rahne Sinclair (Maisie Williams), Sam Guthrie (Charlie Heaton) and Roberto Da Costa (Henry Zaga) — are staying until they learn how to be in full control of their extraordin­ary abilities in this 2020 horror saga. They believe that they’re being treated and cared for, but are they patients or prisoners?

8 PM (HALL) MOVIE A Cozy

Real estate exec, Christmas Inn Erika (Jodi Sweetin) travels to Alaska during Christmast­ime to acquire a bed and breakfast and add it to her portfolio, only to discover that it’s owned by her ex, Andy (David O’Donnell). While there, she finds herself falling in love with the town, the scenery and quite possibly her ex in this 2022 holiday romance.

8 PM (LMN) MOVIE My Nightmare

Nick (Marc Office Affair Herrmann) is an executive with a picture-perfect family, loving wife and adorable daughter. It looks like he has it all to his boss, Lisa (Laurie Fortier), who desperatel­y wants a family of her own. She seduces Nick, hoping to get his wife (Kristi Murdock) out of the picture. When Nick tries to break things off, he finds himself in a dangerous game with her that threatens his job, his family and his life in this 2022 horror.

9PM (SHO) MOVIE Confess,

While investigat­ing a case of

Fletch valuable stolen paintings, the roguishly charming and endlessly troublesom­e investigat­ive journalist Irwin M. Fletcher (Jon Hamm) becomes the prime suspect in multiple murders. To prove his innocence, he must sift through a long list of suspects — from an art dealer to a missing playboy to a crazy neighbor to his own girlfriend in this 2022 comedy. Stars also include Marcia Gay Harden, John Slattery, Lorenza Izzo and Kyle MacLachlan.

9PM (MAGN) Fixer Upper: The Castle

It will likely be fit for a king and queen when all is said and done, but right now things are looking a bit “jestery.” Joanna works on developing new paint colors inspired by the castle’s 100-year history. Then, she and Chip make big decisions about the interior flooring and tile, as well as the exterior stone walls that dramatical­ly advance renovation­s in the new episode “Story of Color.”

10:30 PM (CMT) MOVIE Footloose

Kevin Bacon stars in this buoyant 1984 musical-drama as a rebellious teenager with a passion for dancing. When he moves from Chicago to a small Midwestern town where dancing is prohibited, primarily by a clergyman (John Lithgow), he rallies the townspeopl­e to get the ban lifted. Lori Singer and Dianne Wiest co-star as the minister’s daughter and wife, and Sarah Jessica Parker also appears. The score includes Kenny Loggins’ hit title tune, along with “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” and “Holding Out for a Hero.”
