of the most famous and feted chefs in the world has set his sights on Miami.

Massimo Bottura, whose restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, earned three Michelin stars, has announced he’ll be opening a version of his one-star Michelin restaurant from Dubai in Miami, according to Eater.

The plan is to open

Torno Subito on the rooftop of Julia & Henry’s, a seven-story food, bar and entertainment space at the historic Walgreen’s building on Flagler Street and Second Avenue.

Julia & Henry’s is scheduled to open in the spring of 2023 and is expected to be home to around 20 food and beverage spots.

There’s no word on when Miami’s Torno Subito will open yet, but Eater reports that the menu will feature such Italian dishes as oxtail ravioli, margherOne ita pizza, rack of lamb, wagyu and tagliatelle al ragu. Chef Bernardo Paladini from the Dubai team will be the executive chef.

Bottura, whose Osteria Francescana is routinely referred to as one of the top restaurants in the world, also appeared on Netflix’s “Chef’s Table” and even had a role in the Netflix series “Master of None.” He visited Miami Beach in 2019 to promote his book “Bread is Gold” and join local chef José Mendin to host a special dinner.

At the time, he told the Miami Herald that at Osteria Francescana, he tries to “feed people with emotion.”

“There’s nothing more emotional than to feel like a kid who steals the crunchy part of the lasagna from the big pan of lasagna that the grandmother brings to the table,” he said. “You need to eat incredible emotions.”
