Miami, Florida - Ellen F. (Fein) Shishko, 89, of Newton, Massachuse­tts, formerly of Miami, Florida, February 16, 2023. For 27 years, she was the beloved wife of the late Jerome Shishko. Loving mother of Eric Shishko, Steven Shishko and Adrienne Shishko, and loving motherin-law of Joel Sklar and Jennifer Purdie. Adored grandmothe­r of Jerome “Romey” and Noa Sklar, Kyra and Isabel Shishko and Nina and Cami Shishko. Dear sister of the late Arthur Fein.

Coral Gables, Florida - Carolyn was born and raised in Benton, Arkansas, the daughter of John L. Hughes and Bess Barrow Hughes. She attended Lindenwood College for Girls in St. Charles, Missouri and graduated from the University of Southern California as a piano major. In 1955 she married O. William Davenport, M.D. in Arkansas, and in 1956 they moved to Miami where he practiced Ob-Gyn.

Carolyn taught piano and played Duo-Piano profession­ally. Her compositio­ns have won state and national awards and have been performed in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Her compositio­ns are classical, but her favorite music was jazz.

Naples, Florida - Joan W. Hickey of Naples, Florida passed away on Valentine’s Day, 2023 at the age of 62 after battling cancer for more than 23 years. She was a dedicated golfer and maintained a near-zero handicap during her adult life. She spent hours practicing to develop her skills. She was the Ladies Club Champion at the Classics Country Club in 2018 and 2019 and the Vineyards Country Club in 1989 and 1990. She co-founded and managed J&J Greenhouse­s for 26 years, a well-respected wholesale grower of flowering bedding plants. She was a talented builder and woodworker. She achieved her
