Joan Hickey October 18, 1960 - February 14, 2023

Joan was born in Miami, Florida and graduated from Miami Palmetto Sr. High and Clemson University (B.S. Horticultu­re). Joan is survived by her partner Jane Heupel (Naples, FL), brother John H. (Jack) Hickey (Miami, FL), brother and sister-in-law Edwin and Lori Hickey (Hobe Sound, FL), aunt Jeanne Heyward (Juno Beach, FL), nieces Paige Hickey (Jupiter, FL), Caitlin Hickey (Brooklyn, NY), cousins Susan Mitchell (Floyd) and Marilu Novy (George) of Columbus Georgia.

Joan’s ashes will be scattered at Fred W. Symmes Chapel (Pretty Place) near Camp Greenville, South Carolina where Joan found happiness at camp in her early life.

A memorial gathering will be held at The Classics Country Club, Naples, Florida on Monday, March 27th at 1:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.

Thomas Cowgill, Jr

March 23, 1970 - February 10, 2023

Born in Fort Lauderdale, FL to James and Lourdes Cowgill. Jim passed away at home after a courageous five and a half year battle with ALS.

Jim will be forever known as a terrific husband, father, son, brother (both biological­ly and fraternall­y), friend, coworker, boss, coach, and neighbor.

Survivors include his wife Marlene, children James III and Ashlyn, his parents; Lourdes and Jim Cowgill, sister Lourdes Cowgill Janssen (Herb), aunt and uncle Elena and Jose DelAlamo, sisters and brothers in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends that were like family.
