Chicago restaurant with bocce and bowling opens first Florida location in Aventura
Aventura just got a new place to play — and eat, just in time for the winter holidays.
Pinstripes, the dining and entertainment venue from Chicago, opened its first Florida location at Esplanade at Aventura, which is also home to Joey restaurant from Canada. The venue features 30,000 square feet over two floors that are home to an Italian-American bistro, bocce courts and bowling lanes.
This is the 15th location for the brand, which was founded in 2007 (there are other locations in Maryland, D.C., Minnesota,
Ohio, Kansas, Texas, California and Connecticut, with locations planned for Coral Gables and Orlando).
The Pinstripes restaurant menu from chief culinary officer Cesar Gutierrez features pasta, wood-fired pizzas and flat breads, sandwiches and burgers. You can also order salads and vegan and gluten-free fare and craft cocktails like the Limoncello Martini.
There’s a kids’ menu as well, which features a starter, entree, dessert and drink for $12. Pinstripes also serves brunch with waffle, omelet and carving stations as well as fondue.
As for where you eat, you have choices: There are tables and booths and a bar with big-screen TVs airing major sporting events.
There’s a rooftop patio when the weather is right (like right now). There’s a private area with a ballroom for special corporate or social events.
As for the fun and games, Pinstripes has 12 bowling lanes and five
indoor and outdoor bocce courts. It costs $10-$25 per hour per person and includes socks and shoes.
Founder Dale Schwartz said the brand was excited to be open at the Esplanade at Aventura, which is located next to the Aventura
Mall.
“Pinstripes has redefined entertainment and dining, and we invite the local Aventura community to experience our modern spin on dining and gaming,” he said in a statement. “The new Esplanade at Aventura will be a vibrant and lively lifestyle destination and we’re excited to add our magic to the project.”
