“Rain Man” (MGM+, Monday, Feb. 26): Dustin Hoffman won his second Oscar for best actor for director Barry Levinson’s superb 1988 film. Hoffman has one of his most iconic roles as Raymond, an autistic savant who meets his car-selling huckster brother Charlie (an also-excellent Tom Cruise). The latter wants to milk that newly discovered familial connection for any financial benefit he can derive from it following their father’s death, but a road trip shared by the siblings generates different feelings. Valeria Golino also appears.

“Law & Order” (BBC America, Monday, Feb. 26): Though the parent series of the franchise normally has had New York as its setting, the seventh-season episode “Turnaround” involves Los Angeles in the case of a murdered woman … since the prime suspect is on the West Coast. McCoy and Ross (Sam Waterston, Carey Lowell) fly cross-country to deal with a defense attorney who happens to be Ross’s ex-husband (Keith Szarabajka). Lauren Graham (“Gilmore Girls”) also is a guest star.

“Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” (FX, Wednesday, Feb. 28, and Thursday, Feb. 29): Understandably a favorite in TV newsrooms ever since its release, this 2004 satire offers Will Ferrell (who also co-wrote it with director Adam McKay) in one of his best parts to date as the title character. Burgundy is one of the most popular personalities in San Diego, Calif., but he fears that some of his local stature will be usurped by his new co-anchor (Christina Applegate). Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner also play members of the news team.
